All accommodation is offered subject to availability at time of receipt of deposit, and at the tariffs applicable according to season. Rooms are available from 1.00pm. Rooms must be vacated by 10.00a.m. on day of departure. The Helmshore will store luggage for later departure, although no responsibility for theft, loss or damage to stored luggage will be accepted. The proprietors cannot accept responsibility for loss of guest’s property unless handed in for safe custody. Accounts must be paid before departure and cheques presented at least 4 days before departure to allow time for clearance. In the event of cancellation for whatever reason the deposit paid is non-refundable. Subject to the accommodation being re-let, no further charge is made. In the event that the accommodation not be re-let, then a charge of 2/3rds of the total account is payable within 10 days. No reduction is made for temporary absence, meals not taken, premature departure for any reason, nor for accommodation not required after confirmation of booking. The proprietors reserve the right to amend, curtail or terminate any contract should the conduct of any person who is part to that contract cause any detriment to the well being or comfort of other guests. Any wilful damage to hotel property will be charged. The proprietors are proud of the standard of accommodation and service offered to all guests. In the unlikely event that you should have cause for criticism or suggestion during your stay please bring the matter to the attention of the proprietors so that efforts may be made to meet your requirements or resolve problems. It is considered unreasonable to make any criticism in writing upon your return home, should we not first have been given the opportunity to attend to any matters arising during your stay. The proprietors make every effort to take care of guests with disabilities but regrets that the is not genuinely suitable for guests in wheelchairs. Some bedrooms may have wheelchair access to the bedroom and the en-suite but this is limited and the width of the chair should be mentioned before a booking is confirmed. Access to public areas / corridors is also restricted. When booking your holiday you are entering into a legally binding contract and it is recommended that you take out Holiday Insurance Cover. Groups of 10 persons or more are required to pay in full ten days prior to the arrival date.
